Special Options
Recently, Yourstamps has added a number of special options to our stamp production. These are: Triangular stamps
Triangular stamps are an interesting format, historically used for "commemorative" stamps with colourful images e.g. of birds or butterflies. Yourstamps has been offering such stamps based on right-angled triangles for quite some time. Now we have also added layouts based on isosceles and equilateral triangles placed on a sheet without gaps. Our "Standard option" surcharge applies for this. Dynamic QR codes
A static QR code can of course be directly integrated in the stamp design, e.g. pointing to your website. Now, we have added the option of dynamically generated QR codes different for each stamp on the sheet. In its simplest version, a counter is added to an URL, e.g. "https://mysite.com?stamp_n", with n counted up for each stamp. You can also provide a text file with pre-generated URLs. For small local postal services, this enables you to check the validity of a stamp. For hybrid physical / digital collectibles, the QR code could be linked to a blockchain entry. Our "Standard option" surcharge applies for this. Golden and silver applications to the stamps
Gold and silver are colours which cannot be printed convincingly with standard printers, both laser and inkjet. We have found a way of adding gold or silver elements to the stamps anyway, using a special laminating foil which is fused on laser printed parts of a paper sheet. One option is full gold or silver colouring, i.e. no other colour used on the stamp. The other option is to combine standard colours with golden / silver elements. For this, the sheet has to be printed twice, first with the elements to be golden / silver, then for the other colours. As the positioning might vary in the mm range, the golden / silver elements should have some distance from other colour elements. A "Special option" surcharge applies for this. Transparent paper and other specialty papers
We can print and perforate a variety of specialty papers which generally are not gummed (using water activated glue). One example for this is heavy transparent paper, another one orange light cardboard paper. For papers on stock, a "Special option" surcharge applies. High-end inkjet printing instead of standard laser
We have an Epson 900 inkjet printer available. The printer can be used for high quality colour printing, e.g. on glossy gummed paper or on various specialty papers. As inkjet ink is very expensive, we cannot give a fixed price, but would have to calculate an offer based on colour coverage of a sheet. |
